UNDERWATER MEDITATION
A free, inclusive, guided breath-holding experience in warm water.
A unique opportunity to find deep relaxation and explore the art of letting go of what no longer serves you.
What is Underwater Meditation?
Imagine being held by warm, supportive water.
A space you’ve been before — your very first home, where you spent nine months, years ago.
But this time, your lungs are filled with air. You’re holding your breath.
Your body floats gently, eyes closed.
At first, your mind is busy… then softens, calmer with each heartbeat. Thoughts drift away. Emotions rise. Seconds turn into minutes.
Water teaches you how to soften. It holds you when you let go.
Breath anchors you to the present moment.
Together, these two guides can lead you on a journey of self-discovery.
That’s why I created this experience — a gentle stepping stone into the liquid world of breath-holding, inner stillness, and awareness.

This ISN'T a course. It’s an immersion into water and self — an opportunity to feel what freediving is truly about.

What You'll See Live
At the end of your session, you’ll watch me complete a long No Fins dive — just like the one you see in the video below - an expression of relaxation, artistry, and the beauty of moving underwater on a single breath.
The video below shows exactly what you’ll experience live. It was the very first video I ever shared on YouTube. I still remember being on the road around Australia when a notification popped up — over 2 million people had already watched it! Today, it’s been viewed more than 4.7 million times and continues to travel around the world.
I believe it resonates because it captures what freediving is truly about: the elegance of efficient movement, the mind’s acceptance of human limits, and the simple joy of being underwater.

YOUR GUIDE
Hi, I’m Michaela. I discovered freediving in 2009, and what began as curiosity quickly grew into a lifelong passion for exploring what’s possible on a single breath.
Since then, I’ve become one of Australia’s first certified freediving instructors and have guided hundreds of students into the water. In 2023, I set a Guinness World Record using Dynamic No Fins technique (aka underwater breast stroke;) — swimming 101 underwater laps in one hour, with over 42 minutes spent holding my breath! I’ve dived 200m in the pool, reached depths of 50m in the ocean, and held my breath for more than 6 minutes statically.
But beyond numbers, records, travels and titles, what drives me most is helping others find calm, confidence, and joy in the water.
That’s why I created Underwater Meditation — an experience for anyone curious about slowing down, listening to their body, and discovering the quiet power that lives beneath the surface.
Whether you’ve never held your breath before, want to explore a new way to relax, or are wondering if freediving might be for you, you’ll be guided with care, patience, and presence.
This isn’t about chasing longer and longer breath holds. It’s about connection — with your breath, your body, and your mind — and giving you the space to experience the stillness that water has to offer.
Have a question about Underwater Meditation or freediving? I’d love to hear from you — don’t hesitate to reach out.
